He walked down the side walk, hands stuffed in his pockets. He walked up to his house and back in. "Your late!" He heard his mom call from the kitchen. "I was at Laurel's house!" He called back, walking up the stairs. "Well, go get changed." That's what he did. He pulled out a pair of black slacks, a white shirt, and black dress shoes. He glared at them, and changed. He walked back down with his hat still on. "Take that off." His father said irritably, and he did. No use in pissing them off. He thought to himself.

I put on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. I plopped down on the couch and turned on the tv.

They all piled in the car and drove up to the mountains. They were up there for quite a few hours, because of some cousin's wedding that he didn't even know. A few girls from the bride's side(not his cousin) of the family attempted to flirt with him, but he just ignored them and stared at his cake. One of his closest cousins came over and sat by him. "What's up with you?" She asked. He shrugged. "I hate fondent." He said, flipping the cake over with his fork. "It's nasty."

His cousin laughed. "Aww don't be a loser. Seriously though, whats up?" He looked up at her. "A girl..." She raised an eyebrow. "That chick you've been crushing on since I dunno....forever?" He laughed and nodded.

John felt his phone buzz. He pulled it out of the pocket of his slacks and read the text.

His cousin walked away to go dance with her boyfriend who she invited. John looked up from his phone and watched them for a moment.

I smiled at his text then returned my phone to my pocket. I made myself a ham and cheese sandwich before flipping on the tv in the living room. The news was on so thats where I left it.

He sighed and stood up to go find his parents to find out what time they'd be going home. About an hour later they were in the car on their way home. He sighed and stared out the window, his eyelids drooping[hehe that sounds like me xD]

He had almost drifted off to sleep against the window when his phone buzzed against his leg and lit the car up with a blue light. He jumped, startled. He read the text and then replied.

K wait like 20 minutes so I can shower and change. You have no idea how gross weddings can make you feel

They pulled up to his house and he went inside. He grabbed some jeans and a t-shirt with a hoodie, and went to shower. He got out and changed, towel drying his hair. He ran downstairs and put on his vans, topping himself off with his ever-present hat. He told his parents where he was going and walked outside, walking to Laurel's house with his hands in his pockets.

About fifteen minutes later Laurel flipped off the tv and went to go change. She grabbed a pair of faded, ripped blue jeans and a t-shirt from a marathon she ran in a few years earlier. Once dressed, she hopped down the stairs and sat on the chair by the front door, waiting for John to show up.
