Angel stood underneath a maple tree grazing while listening to the sounds of nature.She stood upon a hill that had a good view of all the area around her.It was the perfect place to graze because one could watch for predators while enjoying luscious green grass.Angel raised her head to the sky as the wind blew her mane and tail away from her body.There was going to be a storm today so she was going to have to find some good cover for the night if she wanted to be warm.So with that Angel started trotting towards a thick grove of trees.

Sky cantered peacefully through the forest, clearing fallen trees easily, and dodging tree stumps with precision. The first drops of rain started to hit her pelt as she was heading out into the open, so she galloped along the border of the forest to find some better shelter.

Angel came to an outcropping in the rocks and stood under it as the sky split with a flash of lighting.

Sky's ears flattened as a crack of thunder and a flash of lightning caught her attention. She knew better than to stay out in the open during a storm, so she approached an outcropping cautiously. When she put her head around the corner, and spotted another mare, she stepped back a few paces. 'Do you mind if I stay here until the storm passes?' She asked over another roll of thunder.

Angel stepped over making room for the new mare,then she laid down.

Sky smiled in appreciation. 'Thanks.' She lay down, leaning against the cool rocky walls.

Angel looked over at the other mare,"You do not have a herd?"

[Rorah]

Sky shook her head. 'You?'

"Once upon a time I did."She said then looked back outside at the rain.

'Oh. What herd was that?' She asked curiously.

"The assassin herd."Angel said smiling.She was the daughter of the lead stallion,Demon Assassin and mare,Assassin at Midnight.

Sky perked her ears. 'The Assassin herd?' She scowled. 'They drove my mother out when she wanted to join.'

Angel shrugged and said,"Ya mom and dad were well known for the requirements to join the herd."

[Rorah]

'Your parents were the leaders of the herd?' Sky asked.

Angel smiled slightly,"Yep now my eldest brother leads the herd."

[Rorah]

'Cool.' Sky mused. 'You have a mate?' She added curiously.

Angel smiled,"That's exactly why I left the herd.The parents get to choose the females mate,and I ended up with a arrogant,selfish warrior from our herd.He was only chosen because he has royal blood from another herd.I couldn't stand to even be near someone like him,so I just left one night while everyone else was sleeping."she said then asked,"What about you?"

[Rorah]

Sky listened to her story. 'Well...' She said a little awkwardly, 'Because I haven't been in a herd, there was no one to pick one for me...So...no.'

"Your lucky.Born out of a herd,I mean.So what's it like not being a herd horse for most of your life."

[Rorah]

'Lonley.' I said simply. 'But there are no rules to weigh you down.'
