Welcome to the Plains of El Dorado, where wild horses roam free across the luscious green fields, and bathe in the pure streams that run down from the Del Lobo Mountains. Here, herds can graze peacefully, without worry. But it's when crossing borders can things get dangerous. Each herd has boundaries, territories. Stray away from your herd and it's an open invitation for the other herd to get a chance at killing you.

For years there has been bitter rivalry between the Aire (Air) and the Tierra (Earth) herd. Each would try and outsize the other, both in numbers and in strength, and for years there has always been one question, Why?
Why are we fighting?

Will there be two horses to change the tradition?

Description
Artemis has a pelt the exact color of a bright new nickel. It gleams silver in the Sun and is soft as snow. Her legs are strong and sure, covered with a couple of scars from when she fought with the other foals in the fields. Her hooves glint bright gold, as well as her golden mane and flowing gold tail. Her eyes are a soft amber hue that sparkle intelligently and her ears are small and delicate.

Description
Apollo's pelt is the color of coal - dark glossy black. He has the build of a Lippinzan, though none of the stark white color. His legs are long and thick, covered with magestic looking fetlocks. He has golden hooves and golden socks on his legs. He has golden flecks on his hindquartes as well as three long scars from a wolf's claws. His mane is dark black and wavy, exactly like a Friesian's should be. His eyes are amber - like Artemis's - and they are very kind.

Chetan is carefree, headstrong, and has very little sense of responsibility. He tends to wander off, so his job as a scout is good for him, but it also lands him in trouble. A lot. He has very little interest in mares and such, his main goal is to have fun and maybe, just maybe, kick some Tierra herd butt.

Rogue pawed at the ground nervously as she stood on the small overhanging rock that marked the boundaries around the Tierra herd. She hadn't heard anything from the Aire herd in days, not a hoof-beat, not even the soft snorts they made as they grazed, and it was putting Rogue on edge. She paced for a while, flicking her tail in annoyance at the small insects that gathered around her in the mid-afternoon sun.

[Kira The Dragon Master]

Chetan stamped his back legs, trying to rid himself of the flies. When it came to flies, the humans' horses had it easy. He had seen the humans spray them with some horrible smelling stuff, but itbkept the flies away. His hide quivered when landed on his withers, a placevthat even his long tail couldn't reach. He shook himself thoroughly, snorted in frustration as more landed on him, and went off to check the boundaries.

[Rorah]

Rogue decided to canter along a little, and so she did, still hugging to the rocky overhang as her hooves brought her swiftly (if a little noisily) along the edge of the boundary. When she had been going for a good ten minutes, she stopped and rested for a little, chewing lazily on the grass beside the rocks.

Chetan loped along, keeping an eye for anything suspicious. He stopped and decided he wanted to roll in some dirt. He did so, then got up, shaking off. He walked along, his long mane draped over one side, reaching his shoulder. His tail nearly touched the ground. All in all, the humans thought of him as a 'prize'. They rarely came around here though, at least not anymore. He and his herd had taught them a lesson, one they wouldn't forget. He continued along, walking now. He came to the bottom of a rocky overhang, the edge of his territory. The Tierra's territory began here. He looked along it, trying to find something. He saw a shape, a horse. Obviously Tierra. He backed up, studying the horse carefully.

[Rorah]

Rogue raised her delicate head as she heard someone approaching. Looking closer, she noticed it was a horse, but it was not a horse she was familiar with. She stomped her hoof lightly on the grass and flicked her ears backwards. "I wouldn't take a step forwards if I were you." She looked down at the male.

[Kira The Dragon Master]

"Ohh scary." He responded, teasingly. He lowered his head and began to graze, flicking his tail lazily at the flies. He wanted to get under the mare's skin, that always was fun.

[Rorah]

She snorted, a hint of a smile playing across her muzzle, flicking her ears forwards. "You don't mind me here?" She leaned over the overhang.

[Kira The Dragon Master]

"Why should I? Not like you're going to do anything." He mumbled through a mouthful of flowers, looking up at her.

[Rorah]

Rogue sniggered. "Well...we are bitter enemies."

[Kira The Dragon Master]

Chetan continued chewing, and finished off the flowers. He studied her carefully.
"Correction, our herds are bitter enemies. I don't know you so I can't say if you're really my enemy or not."

[Rorah]

She tilted her head. "Well...we don't seem to be biting at eachother's necks-"
"Rogue!" A voice reached her ears.
Rogue turned around, looking at the oncoming mare, a dapple grey. "Yes mother?" She asked, a little awkward.
"Your father and I were looking for yo-" As soon as she saw the male, her ears went back. "Who is that?"

[Kira The Dragon Master]

Chetan stamped indignantly.
"This is a noble stallion, dutifully protecting his herd. I was just telling your - ah, daughter - here to stay away from our land." He snapped in response. Then he looked pointedly at Rogue, hoping she would get the memo and play along. He couldn't have horses knowing he had been friendly with someone from the Tierra herd, it was just unnatural.

[Rorah]

Rogue turned her head and picked up his trail of thought. "Don't worry Mum, I was just telling him to mind his own business. He was annoying me after all." She looked disapprovingly at the stallion, before pushing me off in the direction of the herd. "Come on Rogue." She snapped. Rogue looked back at him for a few seconds, before giving him a sympathetic look.

Chetan watched them, then nodded to the mare when she looked back at him. He turned and trotted off towards his own herd.
