Carter smiled softly and gently kissed her back for a moment before pulling back to look at her. He grinned slightly "That might have made the midnight wake up worth it" he mummered quietly. He hadn't expected this, that was for sure.

Meraunda laughed softly. "Yeah, I think it did." She was still blushing, but she turned and rested her head on his shoulder. "Well, this whole saving the world thing should be a little better now."

Carter smiled softly and looked down to her before gently wrapping his arm around her. He laughed at her last comment and looked down to her "Now that you know I'm such an awesome kisser?" he asked with a slightly teasing tone.

"Sure, let's go with that." She teased, grinning at him and leaning comfortably in to him. She sighed happily and snuggled up to him, careful not to make either of them lose their balance.

Carter smiled and held onto her quietly looking back up to the sunrise. He glanced down to Meraunda for a moment before gently kissing the top of her head "Best first day of school ever" he said simply.

"Most definitely." Meraunda murmured, looking up at him with a smile. She sighed again, this time heavily. "I never want to move...but...you still have to meet with the teachers, don't you?"

Carter winced slightly as she said that "Yeah, I do have to meet them" he said quietly "I should probably head back" he said simply although he didn't really want to. He was happy here, he didn't have to worry about saving the world or homework or all the lessons he was going to have, he was simply happy and relaxed. He sighed softly and glanced down to Meraunda "Maybe they'll let me skip since we got woken up at midnight" he said although he was doubtful.

"I doubt it. Come on, let's get some sleep. We still have a while before classes start." She hopped off the fence and leaned over, kissing him quickly then pulling him off the fence.

Carter smiled slightly as she kissed him, he hopped down off the fence quietly with a small sigh before taking Meraunda's hand. He gave her a small smile before starting back towards the school, his feet dragging slightly. He was tired, and he was seriously hoping he just wouldn't have to get up to meet his teachers.

"Perk up. Meeting the teachers is fun. They're all nice. And besides, we need to all get up. Of course everyone else got a full night's sleep..." She shook her head as they neared her cabin, which was closest. "Well I guess I'll see you later.get some sleep." She smiled and kissed his cheek, then headed into her cabin. She sighed and went straight to her bunk, falling asleep almost instantly.

Carter smiled softly and looked down to her quietly "See you soon" he mummered simply, rather tired. He walked across the yard quietly to his cabin and slipped into the cabin quietly falling into his bunk rather exhausted. He quickly fell asleep but it honestly only felt like minutes until he was woken up again by his cabin mates. He sighed softly and stayed in bed for as long as he could before finally getting up and getting dressed, pulling on some comfy clothes, he was too tired to care about what people were going to think of him this morning. He sighed softly as the bell was rang for breakfast and he walked out of the cabin and started up to the dinning hall still half asleep.

Meraunda rolled out of bed, still half asleep. One of her cabin mates asked her where she had been all night, but her answer was some inaudible muttering. She put on a University of Hawaii hoodie and matching sweat pants, redid her ponytail, and left it at that. She yawned again and headed outside, shuffling along to the dining hall tiredly. "Stupid council...making me get up.."

Carter stepped into the hall quietly and walked over to the table he and Meraunda had sat at yesterday. He looked around for a moment before laying his head down on the table, still half asleep.

Meraunda caught sight of Carter and went over to there table. "This seat taken?" She asked with a tired smile.

Carter blinked and looked up to her quietly "It's actually reserved for a very special friend of mine" he said teasingly. He looked at her with a small grin before motioning her to sit down.

Meraunda smiled and sat down. She yawned and laid her head on the table. "I think I'm to tired to even eat." She grumbled, peeking up at him over her arm.

Carter laughed and looked over to her "I feel your pain, I litterly got out of bed like ten minutes ago" he said simply. He was exhausted and he honestly just wanted to go back go bed.

"Maybe coffee will wake us up..." She muttered as someone came and poured them some. She dumped cream and sugar into hers and sighed happily. "Yum."

Carter looked down to the coffee quietly simply drinking it black. He winced slightly at the bitterness before setting it back down on the table. He let out a soft breath before looking back up to Mer "What would you suggest for breakfast?" he asked teasingly.

"No clue, I don't really eat breakfast." She shrugged and looked over the menu. "Bacon and eggs? Or...waffles? No wait pancakes!! Ohhh how about all of them! Yes!" She squealed excitedly.

Carter laughed and looked down to her with a grin "I think I'll just stick with the waffles" he mummered rather exhausted. He couldn't believe how much energy she had suddenly gotten.

Carter smiled and handed the councelor his menu quietly after he ordered his waffles. He glanced over to Meraunda quietly and smiled "So what to do you have to do today?" he asked curiously. With any luck he'd just have to meet his teachers and then he could go back to bed.

Carter laughed and looked at her quietly for a moment "Well, I'm glad that I'm special enough to wake up for" he teased slightly. He glanced up smelling the breakfast cooking and smiled, food... at least that was something to look forward too.
