"whoa," Corey said. "Don't you get, yknow, lonely living on your own?"

Turning her head to him she smiled, her green eyes flickering with the firelight. "Of corse I get lonly," Jay sighed. "But I never had a choice, until now." She added.

Corey looked at her, wondering why she was here if she was lonely. Maybe she couldn't escape? "Have you ever thought of leaving this place?" he asked. "If you want, maybe I can help. Although it's a pity leaving such a cool house" he laughed a bit

"I've thought about it, but that was a long time ago." Jay was no longer smileing. "This island is my home," Shrugging, Jay ended, "Besides, I've got nothing to go back to." Her head turned back to the moonlit ocean, her eyes pained.

Corey nodded. "Well, I've been running away from home myself," he smiled, "maybe I can just live on the island with you! ...If you won't mind that, of course. I could keep you company." he grinned

Not moving her head, she looked at Corey and lifted an eyebrow. "Would you really do that? leave everything, friends, family, home, girlfriends?" Jay asked. "Everything you ever loved. Gone."

Corey shook his head. "I don't have any of those anymore," he said, then laughed "and I definitely dont have a girlfriend!" He became serious. "My parents aren't my real parents, they used to beat me up. I ran away from them."

He looked outside at the starry sky. "I never had a real family or real friends," he said, then he looked to Jay, "But if you like, I can be a friend to you...a REAL friend."

"I sorry to hear that. About your parents and friends." Jay replied quietly and then turned to him, smiling brightly. "Anyway, a real friend on this island?" the starlight danced around in her eyes. "I'd like that." she ended softly.

"Right, it's a deal then," Corey said jokingy as if it was a business meeting. He walked up to Jay and held out a hand to her. "Real friends?" he smiled.

Standing up, Jay stared at his hand, and then smiled. Instead of taking his hand, she hugged him quickly and laughed softly. "Real friends." Jay agreed. "Why don't you get some sleep, you mush be tiered from the swimming today." She had already started back to the house and up the stairs.

Corey blushed a bright red when Jay hugged him, he barely got to hug her back. "Thanks, I will," he said and looked around for somewhere to sleep, he didn't want to go back in the house without being invited he might intrude on her pirvacy.

Stopping, she turned around. "Well? Come on," Jay laughed. "Where do you think I'm going to make you sleep? On the beach?" She asked, walking into the house.

"I could, the sand is very comfy you know," Corey laughed and jogged after her gratefully. Inside he sat on the couch. "I'll just sleep here. Sweet dreams," he told Jay.

Her calm eyes smiled for her. "Good night, Corey." Jay replied softly, smiling and then left him with that. Going into to her room, she lay on the bed and fell to sleep.

Corey slept peacefully till the middle of the night. His tummy grumbled. He got up and got a glass of milk from the kitchen, he brought it back with him to the couch to drink.

Wakeing up to the sun beaming threw the window and the cracks in the bamboo wall, Jay sat up and streached. She got up and got dressed in a t-shirt and plade shorts. Comeing down, she started to cut up the fruits on the table they had ate on outside the night before.

Corey woke up when he heard Jay walking around. He got up and yawned, stretching as he went into the kitchen. "Good morning," he sid brightly, "anything I can help you with?"

"Hey, mornin'" She greeted him happily. "Nah, I'm good, here." Jay handed him a coconut bowl of fruit.

"You know, you ought to let me help out it's not fair i get to stay in your house without doing anything," Corey pretended to pout. He took some fruit and handed the bowl to Jay so she could have some as well. "I can cook a mean lasagna. Then again i might have to hunt for meat..." he scratched his head.

Jay laughed lightheartedly. "Yeah, you will have to hunt. And it's okay, I don't mind." She finshed her fruit and stood back up. "Let's go, I'm sure you'll likt this."

"Hunt? Are we going hunting?" Corey asked. He hurried after her.

[*Sunheart*]

"No," Jay replied, walking along the beach for a while and then turning into the greenery. She pushed aside bushes reavealing a large lagoon being filled by a water fall crahing at the bottom from a large cliff ahead.

Corey's eyes went wide as he saw the lagoon. "Wow," he breathed, he was practically speechless

"Well?" Jay asked, her smileing. "Come on!" She took off her t-shirt, revealing a black tank-top. Then, Jay took her new friends hand and ran and jumped into the lagoon. The warm water surrouneded them.

Corey had no time to stare at Jay -- she immediately pulled him into the water. It was cold and refreshing. He laughed as he emerged, and swam around.
