Nic stood there, his eyes wide. "Great." He mumbled. His eyes flashed yellow and he transformed, jumping on top of Athena.

Athena smiled. She spun and knocked him off. "I'll leave my PARENTS to deal with you, traitor." Athena growled. She turned back to Racheal. "No your not! You have HUMAN parents!" Athena eyed Nic warily. She didn't want to hurt him. "Humans are not welcome to wolves!"

I could feel my temper calming down, the sudden desperation threatening to take over. Suddenly, I just wanted to break down into tears. I had been thrust into all this, had my life turned upside down, and all in just a matter of moments.

"YOU'RE the one who is not welcomed HERE anymore!" Athena yapped. Waving her tails her parents walked over to her. "That was a taste. The whole pack will be back next time to deal with you...traitors." Her mother nodded and Athena walked away. Sniffing the air she searched for food. That was their main reason of coming out here in the first place.

I gritted my teeth, clamping a hand over my torn skin. I looked at the wolf Nic, wary, but I jumped down from the tree I was in and landed on my knees painfully.

He walked over to her and sniffed the wound, then started to lick it clean.

I flinched, withdrawing my arm away from him, slightly surprised, but realized he was only trying to help. "Sorry." I muttered, sitting down and holding out my arm. There was something about a werewolf licking a bleeding wound that sort of unsettled me.

He sat back, looking curiously at her. "Sorry. It looked dirty. You need stitches for that."

I nodded. "Yeah..." I glared at the direction the other wolves went off to. "What was up with them?"

"Long story." He changed back to human, and shook his head. He had all his clothes on, so he sat down.

I looked away when he changed back, it was still all too much for me.
"We have time." I said, seeing him sit down next to me.

"Youre parents...uh well breeding with humans is forbidden. Punishable by death. So when they had you...well. You were supposed to be killed," he glanced warily at her, "but that obviously didn't happen. And now I guess they're trying to finish what they started."

I frowned. "But my parents...Well I never knew much about them really...But I was told they died otherwise. I guess they were trying to hide whatever power I had..." I sighed, trying to take it all in. Total re-shift of life.

"Maybe not exactly like you, but I know the feeling of being totally lost and confused and having no idea who you are or exactly where you come from." He turned away. "Trust me, I know." He said softly.

Athena sniffed out and brang down a deer and a few rabbits with her mom and dad. They put the storage in the fridge. Sighing, she sat down on the couch, switching it to Fringe and watching, her mind far off. I want Nic as a friend, I can't just attack him!
