Aisling's eyes narrowed. She really disliked other women, but she said nothing...about that. "Why were you wandering through the woods at night? For mortals, that's not smart. Were you in Rome then? I've been there once. No you would know that. Anyways, continue." She had a terrible habit of interrupting.

Cato rolled his eyes. "No, actually in Britain. When oman Emporer Claudius ordered the colonozation of Britain, I was a centurion. One of the youngest may I add." He said with a small smirk of satisfaction.

"Anyway," he ontinued, oblivious to her interruption, "I had to deliver a message to the head tribune, Vitellius. I was actually really angry with him. He'd tried to get me killed more times than a few..." He trailed oof. "He sent that wolf-girl onto my path and nearly changed me. But a strange vampire came down as a bat and saved me. And now I'm here."

Morrigan smiled and took the food, gently running her fingers over the smooth wood as she also took the mask, marveling the curves, a sign of an experienced carpenter. Setting it down gently on the grass beside her, she took a welcome bite of the beverage.
"Not really, I'm afraid. I grew up in a poor household, us having to sell everything we could spare to get by. Father was a butcher, and for a while his job was well paid for, but misfortune was in his nature. He was soon bitten by those creatures of the night, vampires, and he fled. Being a butcher, he was surrounded by meat, and took all he could carry. We were left with barely anything. We being my mother and my older brother."
She chuckled humourlessly. "I suppose it sounds all dreadfully silly, when I look back on it."

Sheehan glanced at her a moment longer, then bundled up his cloak to use as a pillow and lay back, the sword and whet-stone in hand. If she didn't want to talk about it, he wouldn't pry. "We should get a few hours of sleep. I'll take the first watch."

He could hear the remnants shuffling and groaning beyond the iron gate, searching mindlessly for a meal.

"Well, like I said. A waste." She sat back and draped her arm over the chair in a vixen-like manner, yet still a bored facade deminished her being. She watched him carefully through blue slits. "Its just come to my attention I don't know much about you. Please, tell me more of...everything."
